Associate Pastor of Young Families
The Associate Pastor of Young Families is a full time, pastoral ministry position.

The primary focus and responsibilities of this position are the spiritual development, growth, and shepherding of young families within the membership of the church and outreach to young families in the community.
 
Primary Directives:
  1. A male who has answered the call of God to the Gospel Ministry and preferably already ordained.
  2. Must adhere to historic Baptist doctrine and ascribe to the doctrines set forth in the Baptist Faith and Mission 2000.
  3. Possesses the ability to effectively teach and preach the Word of
  4. Must be capable and comfortable in performing the leadership role in administering the ordinances of Communion and Baptisms.
  5. Must be capable and comfortable in performing weddings and
  6. Must have a compassionate heart for the people he is called to lead, especially newlyweds and couples with small children.
  7. Self-motivated to rise to the various and sundry duties of pastoral ministry that present themselves.
  8. Submitted to the authority of the Senior Pastor and elected leadership of East Paris Baptist Church.
  9. A master's degree from a recognized and biblically reliable seminary is
  10. Must work well within a multiple staff environment as a "team-"
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assisting the Senior Pastor with various pastoral duties of the
  2. Development of discipleship training for young adults through Sunday School, small groups, special emphasis training classes, etc.
  3. Outreach efforts, targeting young adults and families in the
  4. Planning and facilitating regular gatherings and activities that would be attractive to young couples and families.
  5. Recruiting, assimilating, organizing, and supervising needed volunteer workers for the various aspects of the Young Families ministry.
  6. Supervision of the Children's Director (staff position) and oversight of the Children’s Ministry.
  7. Preaching in worship services of the church on a regular basis as arranged by the Senior Pastor.
  8. Attendance and participation in weekly staff
  9. Spiritual counseling of individuals and couples as the need arises and as is
  10. Evangelizing individuals and couples at every opportunity that is
  11. Assisting, cooperating, and sharing tasks of fellow staff members, even when it is not specifically in the area of young
  12. Willingness to be accommodating to other directives of the Senior Pastor and elected church leadership.

Children's Pastor/Director
East Paris Baptist Church in Paris, TX is seeking a full-time Children’s Pastor or Director. This position should be filled by man or woman who is a follower of Christ, and has a heart for creating an inviting atmosphere that disciples children in The Word and enhances the spread of the Gospel and growth of the church.
 
Primary Directives
  • Work under the authority and leadership of the Sr. Pastor in carrying out the vision for the children’s ministry and the church.
  • Collaborate with other staff and church volunteers as a team to establish a balanced ministry for spiritual growth, evangelism, discipleship, missions, etc.
  • Oversee development of Children’s Ministry Team through recruitment, training, and communication.
  • Accountable for Children’s programs and curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Children’s Chapel for ages K-5th grades for Sunday and Wednesday services.
  • Recruit, encourage, and equip volunteers for classes, activities, and events, and determine and schedule training as appropriate.
  • Regularly establish and communicate schedule of volunteers.
  • Review early childhood curriculum, and adjust as and when needed.
  • Attend conferences, curriculum meetings, and activities for continuing education and development.
  • Divide classes and resources according to age-appropriate children’s classes.
  • Review Bible study materials for all levels to verify doctrinal issues, age appropriateness, and consistency.
  • Establish a mission emphasis in the Children’s Ministry along the lines of Acts 1:2.
  • Plan a monthly outreach event and activity, giving an evangelistic opportunity to reach children and families outside of the church.
  • Oversee discipleship for every child that makes a profession of faith.
  • Plan, prepare for, direct, and recruit for annual Vacation Bible School and Children’s Camp.
