Student Camp

Student Camp this year is at Mt Lebanon Conference Center in Cedarwood, TX!
Camp will take place May 28 - June 1 (Thursday - Monday). Camp is put on by M3 with the SBTC (our churches state convention). Camp  will feature biblical teaching, God-centered worship, and opportunities to respond to the gospel. The rest of there will be a great deal of fun acitivites to give students a time to relax and have a great time with each other!

Cost February 23 - April 22 : $275

Students 18+ Years Old on or before January 19th

East Paris Baptist Church policy and Texas State Law requires all participants 18 years old or older to go through a background check and sexual abuse awareness training. This is a legal requirement! Any student 18+ years old must complete both background checks and ministry safe by May 14 OR will be REMOVED from the roster. Please contact thomas@eastparis.org immediately if this applies to your student.

Students 18 Years or Older
Students that are 18 years or older MUST complete a background check and sexual abuse awareness training that is required of all adults by East Paris and Texas State Law. This requires appx 1 hour of time to complete.

Any student 18+ years old must complete both background checks and ministry safe by May 14 OR will be REMOVED from the roster.

Rules for Camp

Phone Policy
  • Students will only be permitted their phones during the bus rides. 
  • Phones will be taken up before exiting the vehicles at camp.
  • All leaders will have phones at all times and that contact information will be given to parents. 
  • We want our students to be free from distractions and temptations so they can fully focus on God and not be worried about everything else in the world. Not having their phones will allow students to be fully present and have a time they’re separated from the worries of the world. 
Medication
All medication must be turned in before at checkin at East Paris Baptist Church.

Do not pack your medication. It will be turned into the camp medical staff immediately upon arrival.
Dress Code
  • Sleeveless shirts must be manufactured sleeveless (no customs). 
  • No clothing that reveals undergarments
  • No short shorts or skirts
  • No speedos or midriff-baring bathing suits
  • No clothing with questionable sayings, slogans, etc.
  • If you can’t wear it at school don’t wear it at camp.
  • If you have a question, ask! Guys ask Thomas, Girls ask Katie. 
Other Rules
  • Students must stay in groups of 3.
  • No alarms may be set before 6am.
  • Students may NOT share the same bed or make a “Mega Bed” by pushing all their mattresses together. 
  • A student is never permitted to go through someone else’s belongings 
  • Students must follow any additional rules implemented.
  • No PDA (Public Displays of Affection) –  Camp is for you and Jesus, not you and who you’re dating. 
  • Breaking or repeated breaking of any of the rules may result in your students being sent home.

Packing List

What to bring
  • Bible and Pen
  • Clothes for 3 days
  • Deodorant
  • Sleeping Bag (students may sleep on floors so be prepared for that) 
  • Shower stuff
  • Towels
  • Toothbrush
  • Henway
  • Appropriate/modest bathing suit (no bikinis, no speedos) Girls check with Katie if you have questions; Guys check with Thomas if you have questions.
  • Camera (if wanted -- phones will be unavailable)
What not to bring
  • Tobacco
  • Drugs
  • Alcohol
  • Vape/vape accessories
  • Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives)
  • VR Headsets
  • Drones
  • Computer
  • iPad or other Electronic Tablets (there will be plenty of activities and things to do – tech is not necessary)
  • Fireworks, Water balloons, or any other “prank” item that you or your friends may find funny, awesome, or hilarious.
  • Clothing with questionable sayings, slogans, etc.
  • If you can’t take it to school you shouldn’t bring it to camp either.
  • Adult leaders reserve the right to search a students bag anytime during The WKND.
