Leadership

Dr. Danny L. Moody has served as Senior Pastor of East Paris Baptist Church since October of 2019. He holds degrees from Arlington Baptist College, Moody Bible Institute, and Covington Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor of two other churches as well as Dean and then President of a Christian University. He and Sherry have been married since January 7, 1978, have two awesome kids, a great son-in-love, a great daughter-in-love, and six magnificent grandkids. Dr. Moody loves spending time with his family, reading, watching westerns, golf, fishing, and working outdoors. His passion is “Preaching the inexhaustible Word of God.” He is a well-known teacher, conference speaker, author, singer, and musician.

Chase as the Associate Pastor of Young Families, where his heart is to walk alongside couples and parents as they grow in faith, strengthen their marriages, and disciple their children. He is married to Arielle and they have lived in Paris since May of 2022. They love to hike, go out on the lake, and read. Chase completed his MA at  Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is on the final stages of completing his doctorate.

Dr. Todd Cathey has served as Administrator since February 2024. Todd was saved at an early age and was called to the ministry while serving as a Metro-Nashville police officer. He has been in full-time ministry for over 20 years. He has served two other churches in Missouri and Oklahoma through discipleship and administrative roles. In addition to other advanced degrees, he holds a Doctor of Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a board-certified life coach through the Center of Credentialing and Education and has additional coaching training through Leader Breakthru and Oklahoma Baptists. Todd is married to Sheila. They have two adult children, Candice and Cole. Todd is passionate about coaching younger ministers to help them build solid foundations for ministry, helping churches achieve missional excellence through mission clarity, focus, and alignment, and discipling young dads. 

Thomas is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and started serving at East Paris in April of 2022. He is married to Katie and has two amazing sons named Jack & Caleb! Thomas was called to serve in student ministry in high school because of his experience as a student.Thomas loves anything outdoors, coffee, Georgia sports, and spending time with Katie, Jack, and Caleb!

Samuel Stanley has served as Children’s Minister since January 2025. He’s a graduate of Texas A&M University and Dallas Theological Seminary. It was while attending school and interning at his home church, that Samuel was called to Kids Ministry. He is getting married soon to Kayla, and enjoys spending time with family, playing games, and anything sports related.

Brian Tullos joined the ministerial staff at East Paris as Minister of Music in 2020. He has served churches in Arkansas and Texas since 1992. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, and went on to complete a Master of Arts in Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Brian and his wife, Missy, enjoy doing ministry together with their children: Hannah, Brandon, and Madelyn. When he is not serving others in his ministerial role, Brian enjoys fishing, watching all kind of sports, and enjoying time with his family.

I have always had a love for children. I’ve been a member of East Paris Baptist Church since 1996, have served in AWANA, Vacation Bible School, and I began serving as the Nursery Coordinator in 2013.I’ve been married to my loving husband for 30 years. We have two talented children: Ryan, a pharmacist in college station, and Regan, an LVN at the Pediatric Clinic of Paris. I love spending time with my family. My hobbies include camping, fishing, and working out.

Psalms 26:8 says, 'I love your sanctuary, Lord, the place where your glorious presence dwells.'What an awesome blessing and privilege the Lord has given me to serve in a support role to the wonderful staff here at His church. I find great joy and fulfillment in performing the work that needs to be accomplished between worship services and consider it an honor to be able to see that this beautiful house of worship is kept and maintained for the glory of God. Approximately thirty years ago, my sweet wife, Meredith, and I joined East Paris Baptist Church, and God has been so faithful in allowing us to raise our two sons here while serving Him at the church. Through our time here as a family, I have witnessed the Lord accomplish many great things and watched as lives were changed by Him. I pray daily that God will continue to move among us and change hearts and lives as we draw closer to His second coming.
